Shaquill Smith- 2005

 

A 2005 Spring Valley graduate, Shaquill participated on both track & field and football for the green and gold.

 

He was 2004 All-Region selection on the gridiron.  In 2005 Shaquill was an All-Region and All-State track and field selection.  In the 2005 South Carolina State Track & Field Championships he placed 2nd in the state in the high jump.

 

Following his time with the Vikings Shaquill attended The Citadel on a athletic scholarship to participate in football and track.  In 2006 he was an NCAA East Regional qualifier on his way to being voted to the SoCon All-Conference track team and being named SoCon Track & Field Freshman of the year.  Shaquill continued to excel on the oval where in 2007 he was once again voted to the SoCon All-Conference team.

 

In 2011 he signed a professional contract to play football in the German Football League (GFL).
