Tim Hunter- 1982, 2006-2021

A 1982 graduate of Spring Valley, Coach Tim Hunter dedicated over 20 years to the green and gold.

 

While a student at Spring Valley, Tim was selected as an All-Region and All-Area offensive lineman while also being named Spring Valley Offensive Lineman of the Year.

 

Following his years as a student athlete, Coach Hunter returned to his alma mater as an assistant football coach.

 

In 2006, Coach Hunter was named the Athletic Director of Spring Valley High School, a position he held for 16 years.  During his tenure as AD, Coach Hunter was named the 2007 Region V-AAAA Athletic Director of the Year, and the 2016 South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association (SCACA) Athletic Director of the Year.  

 

Under his leadership, Coach Hunter had 4 coaches named as South Carolina Coach of the Year and 2 coaches named National Coach of the Year while also having 2 coaches inducted into the SCACA Hall of Fame.

 

His coaching staffs produced 129 Region Titles, 13 Upper/Lower State Championships, and 8 State Championships.
