Jonathan Byrd- 1996

During his time at Spring Valley, Byrd helped lead the Vikings to 5 consecutive region championships as well as South Carolina AAAA State Championship runner-up in 1992 and 1993.  

 

Individually Jonathan was selected All-Region and All-Area from 1992-1996 and was selected to the All-State team from 1994-1996.  

 

In 1996 Jonathan put together a memorable Senior year taking 1st place in seven of the nine major invitational tournaments including The Southern Cross, Joe Wyatt Memorial, and the Hardaway Invitational.  This senior year was capped by a second place individual finish in the 1996 State Championships.
