Dwayne Jones- 1983

Dwayne Jones was a standout athlete for the Vikings lettering in baseball and football. He was the Vikings quarterback from 1981-82.

Following his playing days, Jones returned to Spring Valley in 1988 to coach the softball program.  During his 17-year stint as the Vikings head coach, Jones compiled a 460-84-1 record.  His teams won 3 State Championships in 1991, 1993, and 1994, 5 state runner-ups, and 15 region championships.  Jones was twice voted South Carolina Coach of the Year.
