Tyrone Legette-1988

Tyrone Legette was a two sport athlete for the Vikings lettering in both football and track and field.

 

On the football field Legette was an All-Area selection in 1986 and 1987.  In 1987 he was voted Touchdown Club Player-of-the-Year as well as being earning USA Today player of the week. 

 

As a member of the track and field team Legette helped lead the Vikings to back-to-back region championships in 1987 and 1988.  At the 1987 state meet Legette finished 3rd in the 200m, 3rd in the 4X400m relay, and 5th in the 4X100m relay, placing the Vikings with a runner-up finish.  The following year at the state meet Legette would finish 3rd in the 200m, 3rd in the 4X400m relay, 2nd in the 200m, and 1st in the 4X100m relay leading the Vikings to the 1988 South Carolina Track and Field State Championship.
