The wrestling team started the season against two top ten teams in Lugoff-Elgin and Chapin on Tuesday. The Vikings won the first individual match of the year with freshman Blue Stiffler tech falling his opponent 15-0 in two minutes. Seniors Anthony Cole and JahSean Martin also had wins against Lugoff-Elgin in a losing effort. The final score was Lugoff-Elgin 66 Vikings 17. The Vikings then had a hard-fought match with Chapin With Stiffler being the only Viking to win. The final score was Chapin 69 Vikings 5.
